Scholarly Activity & Research Infrastructure
Every neurology resident undertakes at least one scholarly project—research, case report, quality improvement, or community outreach.
Through partnership with the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, Northwell Health’s research hub, residents collaborate with faculty engaged in over 35 active clinical trials and 5 NIH-funded projects. Opportunities span basic, translational, and clinical neurology across all subspecialties.
Resident Engagement & Conference Participation
Residents collaborate with mentors to publish papers, present posters, and participate in local outreach initiatives.
Attendance at scientific meetings is strongly encouraged. Each resident receives a $1,500 stipend for general conference attendance and $2,000 additional support when presenting as first author. Our residents maintain a strong presence at AAN and other national forums every year.
